Bullying & harrassment Policy
Introduction
Tragopan Security Solutions is committed to maintaining a workplace free from bullying and harassment, where all employees are treated with respect and dignity. This policy outlines our stance against any form of bullying or harassment and provides a framework for addressing and preventing such behavior.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and contract workers, as well as vendors, clients, visitors, and anyone else present in our workplace or representing Tragopan Security Solutions.
Definitions
a: Bullying: Repeated, unreasonable behavior that may intimidate, degrade, undermine, or humiliate an individual or group, creating a hostile work environment. b. Harassment: Unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic (such as race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, etc.) that violates an individual’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.
Prohibited Conduct
Tragopan Security Solutions strictly prohibits any form of bullying or harassment, including but not limited to: a. Verbal abuse, offensive jokes, slurs, or derogatory comments related to a person’s protected characteristics. b. Threatening, intimidating, or hostile behavior that creates fear or distress. c. Cyberbullying or harassment through electronic communication channels. d. Excluding or isolating individuals based on their protected characteristics. e. Any other behavior that is offensive, demeaning, or inappropriate.
Reporting Procedure
a. Any employee who believes they have experienced or witnessed bullying or harassment is encouraged to report the incident promptly. b. Reports can be made to the immediate supervisor, manager, HR department, or any other designated authority within the company. c. Alternative reporting channels, such as an anonymous hotline or email, will also be provided for those who prefer not to disclose their identity.
Investigation Process
a. All reports of bullying and harassment will be taken seriously and treated with confidentiality to the extent allowed by law. b. An impartial and confidential investigation will be conducted promptly to determine the validity of the complaint. c. The accused and any witnesses will be interviewed during the investigation. d. The investigation findings will be communicated to the parties involved, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the outcome.
Disciplinary Action
Any employee found to have engaged in bullying or harassment will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination, in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
Non-Retaliation
Tragopan Security Solutions prohibits retaliation against individuals who report incidents of bullying or harassment in good faith. Any act of retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.
Prevention and Awareness
a. Regular training and awareness programs will be conducted to educate employees about the importance of respectful behavior and the consequences of bullying and harassment. b. The company will take proactive steps to prevent bullying and harassment in the workplace through policies, procedures, and a positive work culture.
Review of the Policy: This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness, relevance, and compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
